A leak which shows the alleged internal Samsung document might have revealed the official launch date and the price of the Gear VR, Samsung's virtual reality headset.

Designed on a pretty much the same principal as the Oculus Rift, Samsung's Gear VR comes without the screen and actually relies on Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 for both the screen and the rest of the hardware. While Samsung detailed the Gear VR during its latest Unpacked event, it did not go into reveal specific details regarding the price or the actual release date.

The alleged leaked Samsung internal document, which is actually a Q&A "training" sheed for customer service employees, actually included questions like “when will the VR be launched?” or “how much will it cost?”. Spotted by Gforgames.com site, the document reveals that the Gear VR will apparently come out on the December 1st and cost around 200,000 Won (around US $187), at least in South Korea.




While the validity of the document can not be confirmed, December launch date does make sense since Samsung will definitely aim at Christmas shopping season.
