Gigabyte rolls out Z97-HD3P motherboard

Another entry-level Z97 motherboard

Gigabyte has announced its newest entry-level LGA1150 motherboard based on Intel's Z97 Express chipset, 19cm wide ATX form factor as well as all modern and legacy inputs, the Gigabyte Z97-HD3P.

While not focused on overclocking and high-end features, the new Gigabyte Z97-HD3P still has some impressive features on its rather strange looking 19cm wide ATX form factor. While based on an entry-level 4-phase VRM which draws power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, it packs four DDR3 DIMM memory slots, single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, one PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (electrical x4), two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and two legacy PCI slots.

Storage connectivity includes six SATA 6Gbps ports, one SATA-Express port and M.2 10Gb/s slot. It also has integrated 7.1-channel Realtek ALC887 audio with audio-grade capacitors and PCB ground-isolation, six USB 3.0 ports and couple of of USB 2.0 ones, legacy COM and LPT ports via header as well as D-Sub, DVI and HDMI video outputs.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date for the new Gigabyte Z97-HD3P motherboard.
