MSI is apparently quite happy with the Nvidia GTX 970 graphics card and the way it sells on the market as it has decided to launch yet another custom GTX 970 model, which will be one of the cheapest fully custom GTX 970 on the market and have great performance to value ratio.
According to the report over at
Videocardz.com, MSI's upcoming GTX 970 Gaming LITE Edition will be a slower, and thus cheaper version of the popular MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G graphics card.
While Videocardz.com did not reveal any precise specifications regarding the new MSI GTX 970 Gaming LITE Edition graphics card, it did manage to grab a picture of it which shows that it will still have the same Twin Frozr V custom dual-fan cooler, which does not spin fans when temperature is below 60 degrees Celsius, similar to the ASUS' Stirx models.
Videocardz.com also notes that MSI will price the new GTX 970 Gaming LITE Edition close to the price of the reference model, or somewhere between US $330 and $340, which will definitely make it one of the best GTX 970 graphics cards on the market, at least when it comes to performance/price ratio.
There have been a few issues with the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G graphics cards where the secondary fan will not stop spinning after the GPU temperature drops down but according to the same report, MSI is already working on a fix which should arrive in a week.
Hopefully we will manage to get our hands on the new MSI GTX 970 Gaming LITE Edition model to get a better picture on that performance/price ratio and its value on the market.
