Gigabyte releases new entry-level H81M-WW motherboard

With high-quality Realtek ALC887 audio

Gigabyte has unveiled and launched its newest entry-level micro-ATX socket LGA1150 motherboard based on Intel's H81 Express chipset, the Gigabyte H81M-WW. Although based on an entry-level chipset, the H81M-WW features a rather interesting audio chip capable of 7.1-channel configuration.

While the Gigabyte GA-H81M-WW motherboard itself is not that special considering it features a basic 3-phase CPU VRM, single PCI-Express x16 slot, one PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and one legacy PCI slot as well as serial (COM) and parallel (LPT) ports, two USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and single D-Sub video output, it does feature a rather interesting Realtek ALC887 HD audio CODEC chip which has 6-channel configuration but is also capable of 8-channel configuration as well. It also comes with Nichicon audio-grade electrolytic capacitors and ground-layer isolation.

The new Gigabyte H81M-WW will definitely stand out from a rather extensive offer of entry-level motherboards based on the Intel H81 Express chipset, all thanks to its integrated audio solution.
