EK Water Blocks, a well known name in the water cooling market, have now announced its latest full-cover water block aimed to be used with Sapphire's custom Vapor-X version of the Radeon R9 290(X) graphics cards.
Based on a full-cover design, the new EK-FC R9-290X VaporX water block directly cools the GPU, RAM and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as well as the exposed copper drain on the custom PCB in order to achieve best possible cooling results. The new EK-FC R9-290X VaporX also uses a very high flow cooling engine that allows it to be used even in liquid cooling system with a weaker pump.
The base of the EK-FC R9-290X VaporX is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic, depending on the version. It also comes with pre-installed screw-in brass standoffs and also features a refined 0.6mm micro-channel structure that should improve heat transfer without sacrificing the low hydraulic restriction design.
As it was the case with all the recent water blocks from EKWB, up to four EK-FC R9-290X VaporX water blocks can be interconnected with EK-FC Terminal. EKWB have also prepared an aesthetic retention backplate in case you are going to show off your water cooled Sapphire Radeon R9 290(x) VaporX.
The EK-FC R9-290X VaporX water block is already available via EK Webshop or its Partner Reseller Network. The price of the EK-FC R9-290X VaporX is set at €119,95 for both versions while the backplate sells for €29.95.
