ViewSonic unveils a 24-inches 16:10 monitor

Resolution up to 1920x1200

Even though many users are already switching to UHD or 4K resolution, and thinking about the new 5K monitors, there’s still a market for lower resolutions monitors, and ViewSonic presented a new model that should do just fine on kind of market.

The ViewSonic VG2438Sm is designed to be multi-functional. It features a TFT LCD 24-inches panel, with WLED back light. The maximum resolution is 1920x1200 pixels, with a response time of 5ms, 250cd/m² brightness and 50.000.000:1 contrast.

Thanks to the Superclear technology, the viewing angles are 178°. It also features 5 pre-installed modes, called Game, Movie, Web, Mono and Text, which will allow the user to get the best performances in any situation. Another strong point for the new ViewSonic monitor is flexibility, since it can be tilted from -5° to 37°, turn 360°, rotate 90°, and raise up to 100mm.

It’s VESA certified, and it features two 2W speakers. In the back, you’ll find 4 USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks, a DisplayPort, a DVI-D and a D-Sub outputs. It will come to the US market in mid-October with an MSRP of 429$.
