MSI has been teasing with renderings of its Twin Frozr V cooler for a few weeks now and today, we finally have a chance to see a couple of real photos of an actual graphics card with the Twin Frozr V cooler, most likely the GTX 970 Gaming series.
We already know that Nvidia is preparing to launch its new GM204-equipped GTX 900 series next week, during Game24 event, and according to our sources, most GTX 970 graphics card will be based on a custom design, so it is safe to assume that this is the new MSI GTX 970 Gaming graphics card.
While
earlier teasers based on renderings were quite cool to see, it is much better to see the cooler on an actual photo, showing all of its features. There have probably been a couple of changes from rendering stage to an actual product and as you can see from the picture below, it comes with a slightly different I/O bracket.
In case you missed earlier teasers, the Twin Frozr V cooler will be a dual-slot design and feature two 10cm fans as well as a hefty heatsink paired up with a couple of thick heatpipes. Considering the history of the Twin Frozr coolers, we are quite sure that MSI's upcoming Twin Frozr V will do an excellent job in keeping the GTX 970 GM204 GPU well cooled.
Of course, we will hold our final judgment until we see some reviews and benchmarks and we might hear more before the scheduled launch next week.
