Kingston has released a new line of HyperX branded memory, the HyperX Savage high-performance memory, which will replace Kingston's HyperX Genesis, previously aimed at enthusiasts, gamers and content creators. Still based on a black PCB, the HyperX Savage features a new low-profile heatspreader.


Earlier, Kingston has replaced its HyperX Blu lineup with the HyperX Fury, aimed at entry-level gamers, and today, the company decided to replace the mid-level Genesis with the new HyperX Savage lineup. To be available in frequencies ranging from 1600MHz to 2400MHz, and in capacities of 4GB and 8GB single modules and 8GB to 32GB dual- or quad-channel memory kits, the HyperX Savage will be Intel XMP-ready, which should allow users to overclock the system by simply selecting the memory profile.




As noted, the new HyperX Savage features a black PCB and a whole new Savage Red asymmetrical heatspreaders, made of aluminum with a diamond-cut finish. The low-profile heatspreader should make this memory a perfect match for oversized CPU coolers.




The new Kingston HyperX Savage memory will be backed by a lifetime warranty and will be compatible with Intel H67, H97, P67, Z68, Z77, Z87, Z97 and the H61 as well as AMD A75, A87, A88, A89, A78 and E35 chipsets.
