Priciest smartwatch around

According to latest reports, it is very likely that we will see the iWatch announcement during Apple's scheduled September 9th event and according to fresh report, Apple is looking to launch it with a US $400 price tag, making it one of the priciest smartwatches on the market.

The newest report regarding the price comes from Re/code site, which was spotted by Macrumors.com, which suggest that company executives have "discussed" a rough price of US $400 for the iWatch. The report notes that the price was not finalized at the time of writing.

The report also suggest that it is unclear if Apple will have the price finalized for the September 9th event where the company will reportedly unveil and announce the device. It is possible that Apple will use the even simply to announce the device while the price will remain a mystery until the launch, which is rumored for end of this year or even early next year.

As it is usually the case with Apple's unannounced products, there are still plenty of unknowns regarding the Apple's smartwatch and even the iWatch name is not carved in stone, so it would be wise to take all these rumors with a pinch of salt.
