Corsair unveils three gaming PSUs

The HX Series with 80 Plus Platinum certification

Corsair feature a vast portfolio of PSUs, including the HX series which is designed for gaming used, thanks to its 80 Plus Gold certification and the semi-modular cables. The manufacturer decided to go further, up to the 80 Plus Platinum certification.

The Corsair HX Series features a great number of products, but the company wanted to do more, and so they ditched the 80 Plus Gold certification, for a higher 80 Plus Platinum one, and adding a full modular cable design.

As now there are 3 different models, the HX750i, the HX850i and the HX1000i, that as you may have guessed, they respectively supply 750, 850 and 1000W of power. Even though CPUs and GPUs are getting more and more energy efficient, Corsair decided to go for high watt models. These PSUs measures 180x150x86mm, and they offer an efficiency up to 92%. Ventilation wise, they feature a 140mm fans which is only activated after 300W of required power. The new Hxi supports Corsair Link, so you can monitor the PSU via Windows.

These products are already available on the market, at the following prices: 169.99$ for the HX750i, 188.45$ for the HX850i and 225.99$ for the HX1000i. They are all covered by a 3 years warranty.
