Crytek UK staff not going to work

Developer in trouble

There have already been some rumors regarding the state of the Crytek, a developer that is well known for its Crysis and Ryse game titles but now it appears that its UK office is no longer going to work.

Recent rumors, which were quickly denied by Crytek, suggested that the company has had trouble in paying its staff on time. The rumors also suggested that a Ryse sequel has been canceled as well due to problems with Microsoft where two companies could not come to an agreement regarding the ownership of the rights to the franchise.

According to the latest report coming from Kotaku, citing sources familiar with the studio, it appears that around 100 people have already left the Crytek's UK office. Rumor suggests that Crytek and Deep Silver are currently negotiating regarding the Crytek UK studio fate. Deep Silver is currently working on Homefront: The Revolution title and wants to protect that investment.

We certainly hope that Crytek will be able to sort out this situation or the game developer world will lose a decent studio in the process.
