Gigabyte officially announces BRIX Gaming DIY PC kit

Based on Intel Core i5 CPU and Geforce GPU

Gigabyte has now officially announced its newest BRIX Gaming system, a compact Do It Yourself (DIY) PC kit which will be based on Intel's Core i5 CPU paired up with Nvidia's Geforce GPU.

Painted in a black and green color scheme which is more of a tribute to its Geforce GPU rather than Intel (Blue) Core i5 CPU, the new BRIX Gaming DIY PC Kit will pack a rather decent performance punch for its size, considering it is based on Intel's dual-core Core i5 4200H CPU clocked at 2.8GHz/3.4GHz and paired up with Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 GPU with either 3 or 6GB of GDDR5 video memory, depending on the SKU.

The precise dimensions are set at 59.6 x 128 x 115.4 mm, or 0.88L and it comes with support for a single 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbps HDD/SSD, has one mSATA SDD slot, two SO-DIMM DDR3L slots with support for up to 16GB of DDR3-1333/1600 memory, integrated 802.11ac WiFi with Bluetooth 4.0 on mini-PCIe card, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, two mini HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs and has VESA mounting bracket.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the precise price or the availability date but did note that it is also working on a Core i7 version of the Gigabyte BRIX Gaming PC system which should be available in August.
