Based on 22nm Haswell Refresh architecture, the new Devil's Canyon chips are designed for overclocking and feature higher voltage limits, better thermal interface material between the die and the IHS as well as better overclocking potential in general.
The lineup includes the Core i7-4690K and the Core i7-4790K CPUs. The Core i5-4690K quad-core is clocked at 3.5GHz base and 3.9GHz Turbo Boost clocks and packs 6MB of L3 cache. The flagship Core i7-4790K has a base clock of 4.0GHz with 4.4GHz Turbo Boost, has 8MB of L3 cache and supports Intel's Hyper Threading, giving it eight logical CPU cores for OS.
The Core i5-4690K is priced at US $249.99 while the Core i7-4790K has a US $349.99 price tag.
