Following Intel's launch of the Pentium 20th Anniversary Edition G3258 CPU during Computex 2014, ASRock has unveiled two new Z97 Express chipset based motherboards that will features the "Pentium Anniversary Boost" technology and provide the easiest as well as most advance overclocking for that chip, the ASRock Z97 Anniversary and the Z97M Anniversary.
While many manufacturers simply decided to update the motherboard BIOS in order to support the new CPU, ASRock has made additional effort to provide the easiest as well as better overclocking potential for the Pentium 20th Anniversary G3258 CPU. Both new motherboards will features the so called "Pentium Anniversary Boost" technology which will allow you to simply press "P" in order to enter the selection page and choose the CPU frequency you would like to apply and it will automatically overclock the rest of the components to reach a maximum frequency of 4.2GHz, which is significantly higher than the 3.2GHz on the Pentium G3258.
In addition to the exclusive Pentium Anniversary Boost feature, both the Z97 Anniversary and the Z97M Anniversary motherboards feature decent specifications and features including ASRock's "Super Alloy" technology, Intel Gigabit LAN, ELNA Audio Caps as well as D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI outputs.
Unfortunately, ASRock did not announce any details regarding the price or the availability date but did release a neat overclocking video which shows how far these motherboards can actually go.
