Asus has stormed the IFA 2013 show with a bunch of products mostly from the mobile market segment including new FonePad and MeMO Pad tablets/phablets, Android-powered notebooks and much more, as well as the new Transformer Pad TF701T based on Nvidia's Tegra 4 SoC and an impressive 10.1-inch IGZO-TFT IPS screen.


The new Transformer Pad TF701T is built around an impressive 10.1-inch IGZO-TFT IPS 2560x1600 resolution display with white balance and color saturation customization features. In case you are wondering the device is just 8.9mm thick, has 263x180.8mm dimensions without the dock, of course, and weighs 585g.

The heart of the new Transformer Pad TF701T is Nvidia's Tegra 4 SoC with quad-core 1.9GHz clocked Cortex-A15 CPU cores as well as the much praised 72-core GPU. The Nvidia Tegra 4 SoC is paired up with 2GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage space expandable by a microSD card slot located on the tablet. It also packs a rear 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HDR video capture as well as the 1.2-megapixel front one that should be enough for video calls. As it was the case with most recent Asus products, this one is also equipped with dual-speakers with SonicMaster technology.

The new Transformer Pad TF701T also comes with a QWERTY dock that not only gives you a fully functional keyboard, but boosts the battery life to up to an impressive 17 hours. The Transformer Dock also features HDMI output that allows 4K video reproduction.

According to Asus, the battery inside the tablet can keep it running for up to 13 hours, while it can be boosted to up to 17 hours when paired up with QWERTY Transformer Dock which also adds USB 3.0 port as well as an SDXC card slot.

Unfortunately, Asus was unwilling to talk about prices at IFA 2013, but according to various leaks, it should hit retail/e-tail sometime in Q3 with US $399 price tag for tablet and US $499 one when bundled with the dock.
