According to the latest report, Intel is working on a NUC (next-unit of computing) beast, codename Skull Canyon, which will be powered by Skylake CPU and feature a more powerful GPU.
While there are still no precise details regarding precise specifications of the Skull Canyon NUC,
a report from FanlessTech suggests that it will be powered by Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPU packing an iGPU with 72 EUs (Execution Units) and 128MB of eDRAM L4 cache, which points to Iris Pro 580 GPU (GT4e).
According to the same report, the new Skull Canyon NUC should be launched sometime in the first quarter of 2016 so we will probably hear more about it soon.
It is also left to be seen how Intel plans to squeeze a more powerful CPU inside a small NUC chassis.
