More Atom Bay Trail-T CPUs inbound

A total of nine new SKUs

Intel is preparing to launch its second wave of Atom Bay Trail-T CPUs for tablets and it appears that we will see nine new SKUs which will be a part of Atom Z37x5 series, which should launch sometime later this quarter.

According to CPU-World.com report, the entire lineup will be quad-core parts with 2MB L2 cache and up to 16 percent faster graphics performance, when compared to current Bay Trail lineup. Based on Silvermont architecture and Ivy Bridge-based GPU with 4 EUs (Execution Units), the lineup will support SSE4/AES SIMD instructions as w2ell as Burst technology.

The new lineup kicks off with Atom Z3735D and Atom Z3735E CPUs which both work at 1.33GHz base and 1.83GHz Turbo clock, features 2MB of L2 cache, support for DDR3L-RS 1333 memory and 313/688 MHz GPU frequency. The difference lies in maximum memory support as the E part will be limited to 1GB while the E part can support up to 2GB of memory.

The top of the offer are the Atom Z3775 and the Z3775D as well as the Atom Z3795. The first one is clocked at 1.46GHz with 2.39GHz Turbo, has support for up to 4GB LPDDR3-1066 memory and 311/778 MHz GPU clocks while the Atom Z3775D works at 1.5GHz base CPU and 2.41GHZ Turbo CPU clock, have support for up to 2GB of DDR3L-RS 1333 memory and GPU working at 313/792 MHz. The last but not the least is the Atom Z3795 clocked at 1.6GHz base and 2.39GHz Turbo CPU clocks, support for up to 4GB of LPDDR3-1066 memory and GPU clocks of 311/778MHz.

Some of the CPUs in the new lineup, which you can check out in the table below as well as via link, will be available for both Windows 8.1 and Android OS, while some will be limited to either platform.

Hopefully, we will see some devices with these new chips on the market quite soon.
