While it recently got a massive price cut that drew it down to around €549 to €599 depending on the partner, retailer and the region where it sells, we stumbled upon a rather interesting deal in the Netherlands that offers Club3D HD 7990 for as low as €469.
In case you missed it earlier, the AMD Radeon HD 7990 features two 28nm fully enabled Tahiti GPUs for a total of 4096 stream processors and 6GB of GDDR5 memory (3GB per GPU). The GPUs are working at 950MHz base clock while 6GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with 2x384-bit memory interface ended up clocked at 6000MHz.
While most Tahiti-based AMD graphics cards are getting price cuts in anticipation of the R7 and R9-series arrival on the market, the HD 7990 dual-GPU will still be able to handle most of the games quite well, especially those where AMD managed to fix micro-stuttering issues and with the right Crossfire profiles it works like a charm.
Of course, bear in mind that you also get all eight AAA titles and at €469 it definitely sounds like a great deal. Unfortunately, the deal is limited to Alternate.nl and hopefully we will see the similar one at Alternate.de as well.
