TRENDnet has announce the availability of the new 2-bay NAS media server enclosure, the TN-200. Based on a 2-bay design solution the new TN-200 offers up to 8TB of total storage and has all the features that you would expect from a mid-range NAS device.
As noted, the TN-200 is based on a 2-bay NAS design and has support for two 3.5-inch SATA HDD for a total storage capacity of up to 8TB. Since it has an USB port on the back, the additional storage can be connected with it or simply use it for quick and convenient backup of data.
The new TN-200 is DNLA certified, has iTunes server that allows you to share your iTunes library via network, features Backup Center that ensures a zero data loss if one drive crashes, has Download Center that can schedule downloads from popular sites, has Remote Access feature that allows you to access it from the Internet and features One Touch USB button that automatically backs up content from USB device.
The TN-200 also features Gigabit LAN port as well as advanced energy savings where you can create a weekly hibernation schedule.
The TRENDnet TN-200 should be already available at most, if not all retail/e-tail shops with MSRP set at US $169.99.
