PCMark heading to smartphones and tablets

Coming to Android, iOS and Windows RT

Futuremark has announced it is currently working on PCMark benchmark suite that will be available for Android, iOS and Windows RT, thus covering the entire mobile market.
In addition to the announcement, Futuremark also used an opportunity to call the rest of the hardware makers to join in the development program. Futuremark's CEO, Jukka Mäkinen noted that the company takes great pride in working with the top technology companies to create the best benchmark for consumers, industry and press and that PCMark was the next logical move after the recent releasing of the 3DMark for mobile devices.

The new PCMark will feature benchmark test that will simulate common use scenarios thus focusing on activities and tasks that most users daily preform on their favorite mobile devices.

Unfortunately, as it is still in development phase, Futuremark did not want to speculate on the precise launch date.
