Toshiba has now officially announced and launched its Protege Z10t tablet/notebook hybrid aimed at business and office users. Based around a 11.6-inch detachable tablet, the new Protege Z10t features quite a decent specification list but also quite a hefty price tag.
The specification list starts with an impressive 11.6-inch IPS Full HD screen coated with anti-glare coating and hidden behind a Corning Concore Glass. It is equipped with Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Ivy Bridge CPUs, 128 or 256GB SSD and up to 4GB of DDR3-1600 memory (8GB once Toshiba starts offering Haswell-based CPUs), USB 3.0 connectivity, VGA, HDMI, WiDi, front HD and rear 3-megapixel cameras, Ethernet, card reader and bunch of other features that you would also expect from a fully sized notebook.
The dock keyboard features a touchpad with Windows 8 gesture support, LED back-light and it is even spill-resistant, making the new Protege Z10t quite an interesting little device.
Of course, it also has a bad side as well since its price starts at US $1,499.
