Lian Li has rather silently launched two new power supply units (PSUs), the 550W PE-550 and the 750W PE-750, both based on SFX-L form-factor.
The new PE-550 and PE-750 power supply units from Lian Li are based on a slightly longer SFX form-factor, with dimensions set at 130x125x63.8mm, which allowed the company to both provide higher power output and use larger cooling 120mm fan.
Both units are modular and pretty much offer same set of cables, including a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS 12V cables as well as two 6+2-pin PCI-Express power connector, making them suitable for even smaller builds with high-end graphics cards. The rest of the connectors include three SATA ones and single 4-pin floppy/4-pin Molex connector.
The Lian Li PE-550 550W is rated at 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating with over 86.5 percent efficiency and offers 45 Amps on its +12V rail. The PE-750 750W PSU is rated at 80 PLUS Platinum with efficiency of over 89 percent and pushes 62 Amps over its +12V rail.
Unfortunately, Lian Li did not reveal any details regarding the price of any of these new SFX-L PSUs so we will have to wait to see them in retail/e-tail shops.
