SteelSeries has announced that its new Apex M500 tournament-ready mechanical gaming keyboard is now available and brings with Cherry MX Red gaming switches with plenty of other features.
Based on a traditional key layout, the new SteelSeries Apex M500 also features anti-ghosting technology with 104 key N-Key roll over, blue LED per-key backlight and well known SteelSeries Engine customization software.
Measuring at 136.43x440.56x39.52mm and weighing in at 1241g, the new SteelSeries Apex M500 is far from small or light, which also suggest that it is well built. According to SteelSeries, the Apex M500 is made of toughest plastic with hardened steel back plate and comes with a unique cable management with plenty of individual guides under the keyboard.
The included SteelSeries Engine provides plenty of customization with unlimited profiles, text based, key-press and on-the-fly macros.
As noted, the new Apex M500 is based on Cherry MX Red gaming switches with 4mm throw depth, 2mm actuation and reset depth, 45cn actuation force and 50 million click guarantee.
Unfortunately, all those specifications come at a price so the SteelSeries Apex M500 is available for $99.99 / €119.99.
