Cryorig unveils A40 and A80 Series HLC

With adjustable and detachable Airflow fan

Teased back during Computex 2015 show back in June, Cryorig has now officially unveiled its new A40 and A80 Series Hybrid Liquid Coolers (HLC) that come with an adjustable and detachable Airflow fan which promises up to 20 percent lower temperatures of CPU surrounding components.

While traditional AiO liquid cooling solution mostly come with a pump/block unit connected to a radiator, Cryorig decided to change things a bit and include a detachable and adjustable fan placed on top of the CPU block, providing additional airflow to components surrounding the CPU.

The difference between the Cryorig A40, A40 Ultimate and the A80 Hybrid Liquid Coolers is in the size of the radiator, ranging from 240x27.5mm for the A40, a thicker 240x38.5mm for the A40 Ultimate and 280x27.5mm on the A80. The entire system is based on Asetek's 5th generation pump and CPU cold block design and features a well known MultiSeg mounting system, which makes it compatible with most modern CPU sockets.

The idea behind the A40 and A80 Series HLCs is that an extra angled fan, that can be strategiacally angled and placed on top of the CPU block, can lower the temperatures of components surrounding the CPU by up to 20 percent. This solves one of the biggest problems of AiO liquid cooler solutions which exhibit heat build-up around the CPU area. The so called Airflow fan is a 70x25mm fan that spins between 1500 and 3000 RPM and matches the speed percentage of the fans located on the radiator (QF120 or QF140 PWM, depending on the version).

The CRYORIG A40, A40 Ultimate and the A80 should be available in late November with MSRP set at US $100, US $110 and US $120 in North America and €100 Euro, €110 Euro and €120 in Europe.
