The Witcher 3 needs 50GB of space on PS4, Xbox One

Massive game

It appears that the upcoming CD Projekt RED The Witcher: Wild Hunt game, also known as The Witcher 3, will need almost 50GB of space for installation on both current-gen consoles, which might be a bit of an issue for a lot of gamers.

While we knew that the game was massive and although it will not be a big issue for most PC gamers, it appears that console gamers might have some trouble with The Witcher: Wild Hunt game as CD Projekt RED confirmed to Gamespot that the game will need around 50GB of free space for installation.

While PC gamers usually have plenty of HDD space, and even SSD space, for new games, console gamers are somewhat limited, and while there have been few games recently that have required over 40GB of space for installation, this is not something that is usually seen on consoles, but judging from recent and upcoming games, these things might change soon.

In case you missed it earlier, The Witcher: Wild Hunt has been delayed quite a few times and is now scheduled to launch on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 on May 19th.
