While many have already had a chance to check out the new Battlefield Hardline during open beta period, Electronic Arts has now revealed official minimum and recommended system requirements for it.
The new system requirements,
published at Origin, shed some light on EA's recent note that some gamers with 4GB of RAM or less as well as some older hardware could experience some issues during beta, which has not been optimized for low-end PCs. Something that is definitely a big change is that Battlefield Hardline will only work on 64-bit version of Windows as well as need 60GB of HDD space on your PC, which are a part of both minimum and recommended system requirements.
While it was generally believed that system requirements will line up with those of Battlefield 4, it appears that some things have changed, including the lack of support for 32-bit Windows and double the amount of HDD space.
The rest of the minimum system requirements include Intel's Core i3/i5 CPU clocked at 2.4GHz or AMD's Athlon II/Phenom II CPU clocked at 2.8GHz, 4GB of RAM and at least AMD Radeon HD 5770 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 graphics card.
The recommended system requirements are a bit higher but are a bit more unclear as these list Intel's quad-core or AMD six-core CPU, 8GB or RAM and AMD Radeon R9 290 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 graphics with 3GB of video memory.
We already had a chance to try out Battlefield Hardline during beta and publish a few screenshots. We were running in on ASUS' GTX 780 OC DC2 and managed to get a smooth gameplay at 1080p and Ultra preset settings. The best way to know for sure is to try out the open beta which will run until February 8th, and know for sure if your PC is ready for it.
Developed by Visceral Games, Battlefield Hardline is scheduled to launch on March 17th on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
