GTA 5 PC version gets delayed to March 24

System requirements revealed, new screenshots

Although it was scheduled to be released on January 27th, Rockstar Games has now apologized noting that it needs a few extra weeks for "testing and polishing" in order to make the game as good as it can be.

In a released statement Rockstar also noted that: "Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”

In addition to the delay, Rockstar has released more details regarding the game including full system requirements as well as details regarding GTA Online for PC which will support up to 30 players and include Online Heist, an online mode for consoles that will launch in the coming weeks ahead of the PC launch.

The minimum system requirements include Intel's Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU or AMD Phenom 9850, 4GB of RAM, Nvidia GT 9800 or AMD HD 4870 graphics card with 1GB of VRAM, 65GB of HDD space and Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 64-bit OS. The recommended system requirements are pushed up to Intel Core i5 3470 or AMD FX-8350 CPU, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD HD 7870 graphics card with 2GB of VRAM, while the rest of the requirements are the same as for minimum ones.

Rockstar's GTA 5 version for PC will run at 1080p and 60fps and will include support for up to UHD/4K resolution and triple monitor support with Nvidia 3D Vision, but we guess that you'll need a much better hardware than listed in recommended system requirements.

As noted earlier, the new date for the Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC is set at March 24th. You can check out more screenshots over at Rockstargames.com.
