Zotac GTX 970 pictured with the box

Custom PCB and a dual fan cooler

Today we can show you the very first picture of the Zotac GeForce GTX 970 graphics card, along with its box. The graphics card should be based on a custom PCB and comes with an aluminium heatsink which is cooled by two 80mm fans.

Since there is no OC or AMP! tag on the box, we should be right to assume that this graphics card is running on reference clocks, which is 1051MHz base GPU clock and 1178MHz GPU Boost clock, while GDDR5 memory is clocked at 7.0GHz. The GTX 970 graphics card features 4GB of GDDR5 memory, along with a 256-bit wide memory interface. It is based on the Maxwell GM204 GPU, which should feature 1664 CUDA cores, 138 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

We still do not know the exact release date for the GTX 900 series, but it is safe to assume that it will be unveiled during the Game 24 event, scheduled by Nvidia for the 18th of September.
