EK Water Blocks, a well known water block manufacturer from Ljubljana, Slovenia, has announced that it is currently working on a new full cover waterblock designed for AMD Radeon R9 285 reference graphics cards, based on the Tonga GPU.
The new EK-FC R9-285 is specifically designed to offer the best cooling performance on the brand new AMD R9 285 graphics cards and will be available in two different versions, the Nickel Plexi and the Nickel Acetal. Being a full cover water block design, the new EK-FC R9-285 will directly cool the GPU, RAM and the VRM part of the graphics card, expanding the overclock headroom and allowing better performance.
Thanks to the EK-FC Terminal, it will be possible to connect up to four of these water blocks without any complications. As it was the case with all recent EKWB full cover water blocks, the new EK-FC R9-285 features a high flow design, so it can be used even with weaker water cooling systems. EK Water Blocks will also offer an aesthetic backplate, which will also take care of the cooling for the VRM part located on the back of the graphics cards, that will be available alongside the new EK-FC R9-285 water block.
The new EK-FC R9-285 Full Cover water block will be available in mid October.
