Lepa is apparently preparing a completely new line of high-wattage power supply units aimed to be used with high-end gaming desktop and workstation systems, the MaxPlatinum PSU series. To be available in two versions, providing 1050W and 1375/1700W of power.
According to the report, the P1050M, will provide 1050W in both 115VAC and 203VAC areas and will have enough cables to power up to three high-end graphics cards and features 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, six 6+2-pin PCIe, twelve SATA, eight Molex and one 4-pin Berg connector, also known as the floppy power connector.
The upcoming Lepa P1700M is a whole different beast as this one provides 1700W of continuous power when plugged into 230VAC power output (EMEA, APAC regions) or 1375W when plugged into 115VAC (North America and other regions). It comes with a 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, ten 6+2-pin PCI-Express power connectors (eight 6+2-pin in North America and Japan regions), twelve SATA, eight Molex and one Berg connector.
While the Lepa P1050M will be based on a four +12V rail design the P1700M will use a six +12V rail design. Both models will be cooled by a bottom placed 135mm ball bearing fan with thermal speed control¸. Both units will also have 80Plus Platinum efficiency rating and both are manufactured by Enermax. The P1700M model will also feature a full-modular design while the P1050 will be limited to a semi-modular design.
Unfortunately, Lepa did not reveal any details regarding the precise availability date or the price, and we are sure that these will not be cheap.
