Far Cry 4 developer says 60FPS was not an option

Would require certain sacrifices

There have been quite a few discussions on the net regarding many upcoming new games and the fact if they should/will run on either 30 or 60 frames per second, which is definitely a big deal. While some think that 60FPS would just look weird, some, like Creative Director of Far Cry 4, suggest that while 60FPS might sound great, would require certain sacrifice.

Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director of Far Cry 4, started a neat discussion on Twitter explaining that in order to run the game at 1080p and 60FPS, the developer "simplify the art, have less people or events on screen or make other sacrifices," and that there will be no visible difference between Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of the Far Cry 4.

Of course, PC version of the game will be a whole different beast. Ubisoft's Far Cry 4 is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 18th.
