AMD's VP of Global Channel Sales, Roy Taylor, has tweeted a rather interesting picture which shows, what appears to be, a new FX-series desktop CPU which should be coming soon.
While the picture is too blurry to see any details regarding the CPU itself, it appears that it will be bundled with a liquid cooler, which suggest that this one will be a part of the high-end FX-9000 series lineup with 220W TDP.
Currently, FX-9000 series CPUs ship without the cooler while 125W TDP FX-8000 come with a standard air cooler. The new FX-9000 could be bundled with a closed-loop liquid cooler and might be the only response from AMD regarding Intel's new Devil's Canyon CPUs.
While it will not be able to match the power efficiency these FX-9000 series chips are not bad at all and will definitely be interesting to overclockers and enthusiasts.
