Core i7-4770K MSRP at US $327

The VR-Zone Chinese site published a full set of US retail/e-tail "box" prices for the upcoming Intel Haswell CPUs that will range from US $175 for the Core i5-4430 up to US $327 for the Core i7-4770K.

Quoting Intel

Judging by comments coming from no other than Intel's CEO Paul Otellini, we might see Windows 8 tablets with US $200 price tag pretty soon.

Based on Y-series CPU lineup

According to a report at Fudzilla.com, it appears that upcoming 1-chip Haswell also referred to as the Haswell-ULT will bring up to 8 to 10 hours of battery life to tablets based on it.

Cost-effective way to get 8 and 16Gbps

According to leaked slides over at Chinese VR-Zone site, we now know that Intel's next-generation 9-series chipset will have native support for the Serial ATA Express interface bringing up to 16Gbps transfer speeds, an impressive boost over the 6Gbps that we have with SATA III today.

PC industry on its knees

The recent reports regarding the state and predictions of the PC industry are taking its toll on Intel as well. Intel reported a profit drop of 25 percent in the last quarter taking a 2.5 percent decline in revenue.

Only on high-end Core i7 CPUs

Haswell will be quite an impressive chip as it currently promises higher performance per clock, better battery life with notebooks and even significantly better graphics part, something that Intel has been lacking for quite some time.

Quite similar to Sandy Bridge-E

During its Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2013 event held in Bejing, Intel decided it is time to shed some details regarding overclocking capabilities of its upcoming Haswell CPUs.

20Gbps per lane

In addition to the update for Redwood Ridge Thunderbolt controllers, Intel also confirmed the Falcon Ridge family that will feature a speed improvement to 20Gbps per lane and should be heading for initial production by the end of 2013.

Everything ready for Computex 2013 unveiling

According to a report over at CNET.com, Intel's Haswell CPUs have already started to ship out its OEM partners. As reported earlier, Intel plans to have an official Haswell announcement at Computex 2013, scheduled to kick of in Taiwan on June 4th.

Previews 20Gbps Falcon Ridge

During the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show held this week in Las Vegas, Intel has introduced two new Thunderbolt controllers that will bring Displayport 1.2 capability and some new features, the Intel DSL4510/4410. In addition to the new controllers, Intel previewed an early prototype silicon of its next-generation Thunderbolt controller, codename Falcon Ridge that will bring even more improvements including transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps.

C2 chipset stepping incoming

Intel has released a product-change notification (PCN) to its partners that informs them about the new C2 stepping planed for the upcoming 8-series Lynx Point chipset based motherboards. The stepping should fix the USB 3.0 issue that will apparently plague the C1 stepping until July.

Should boost performance by up to 10 percent

During GDC 2013, Intel announced a new version of its graphics driver that should feature a 10 percent improvement in graphics performance for Ivy Bridge CPUs, as well as bring support for OpenCL 1.2.

What we've been expecting

During June this year, Intel is going to release their upcoming Haswell performance desktop processors. Enthusiasts around the globe will wont stop looking for Intels high-performance desktop parts with codename Ivy Bridge-E. Meanwhile new information made it to the surface.
