In the beginning AMD announced that the watercooled version of the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition was supposed to become available during the third quarter of 2017. So far it looks like that this is actually the case since, it appears that in North America those cards can now be ordered.



Bought out a gaming headset maker

In a blog post by Logitech’s Head of gaming, Ujesh Desai, announced that Astro is going to become part of the Logitech Gaming brand and they will list its entire portfolio of gaming headsets. Astro is going to focus on making products for consoles while Logitech, under its G brand, is going to continue focusing on gaming products for the PC market.



With clock speeds up to DDR4-3400

Patriot has been testing several memory kits in combination with AMD’s Ryzen platform. The vendor has been looking into compatibility with X370 as well as B350 based motherboards from all the different major motherboard manufacturers out there. As a result Patriot is now able to announce that several of their kits are certified to operate at up to DDR4-3400 frequency.


Compatible with ASUS Aura

ADATA is finally bringing RGB lighting to their XPG DDR4 memory lineup. Memory modules were some of the very last components allowing for RGB lighting, since it can be quite tricky to control the color on the DIMMs. At the moment it’s still unclear which models ADATA will release. Since the non-RGB lineup consists of several models with different clock speeds, we expect to see something similar in the case of the XPG SPECTRIX D40 RGB series.


Featuring UHD/4K panel

ASUS has expanded its monitor lineup with another model that comes with a 28-inch TN panel with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. Furthermore the monitor has adaptive-sync/Freesync technology on board. According to ASUS, the VP28UQG monitor is supposed to be used in gaming environment.

The Mark 1 and Mark 2

During this years Computex, ASUS has shown their first batch of X299 motherboards for Intel's Basin Falls platform. So far ASUS has unveiled five ATX models which are all based on the same PCB. What differs is the color scheme, the audio solution and a few connectors. According to ASUS, the motherboards will soon be available in all major retail outlets and online stores.

Another paper launch at SIGGRAPH 2017?

The launch of AMD’s RX Vega series graphics cards is one of the most anticipated product launches in the entire 2017 but apparently it’s taking AMD ages to let the cat out of the bag. According to latest information it’s supposed to take place in late September. In other words, we won’t see a hard launch of RX Vega during the Siggraph 2017 event.


Another liquid cooled graphics card

TWith their Neptune series Colorful now also have liquid cooled graphics cards in their portfolio. The first model is based on the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti and goes by the name iGame GTX1080Ti Neptune W. Unlike other water cooled graphics cards, the iGame GTX1080Ti Neptune W comes with a 240mm radiator included in the bundle.

New markets always offer new opportunities and that on the other hand means that different vendors will launch new products. The Neutron NX500 is the first PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD from Corsair.


Pentium G4560 is the best budget gaming CPU

According to DigiWorthy, Intel is limiting the production of their Pentium G4560 in order to increase retail pricing and improve the sales of their more expensive i3 CPUs. With the launch of Kaby Lake, Intel has brought change to their Pentium lineup which includes Hyperthreading. This means there are now Pentium CPUs with two cores and four threads available for as little as 58 Euro. Thanks to Hyperthreading, the performance of the new Intel Pentium CPUs pretty close to Intel’s Core i3 chips.

Although it's a bit late to the party, Colorful has now announced their flagship motherboard named iGame x299 Vulcan X, which is available with two different colour schemes; white and black. Both look pretty impressive and the fact that can be bought with different color schemes will allow matching differently themed builds.

EVGA has officially launched their GTX 1080 Ti HYBRID FTW3 graphics card. It comes with an all-in-one liquid cooling unit taking care of the GPU and active cooling for the VRMs. Although on paper this card only features a small factory overclock, it’s quite a bit quicker than NVIDIA's Founders Edition.



Performance improvements for FFXIV and Tekken 7

Following the launch of AMD’s ReLive 17.6.1 drivers there is already a new update available. These drivers are supposed to help increase the performance and efficiency of AMD cards and on top of that AMD has also fixed some issues related to Tekken 7 and FFXIV.



Unfinished feature

Gamers Nexus had the chance to come up with a review on the AMD Radeon Pro Vega Frontier Edition graphics card. In a rather lengthy video they described the experience with the two different modes the card offers. It looks like that the "Pro Mode" and "Gaming Mode" are identical in combination with the current drivers. The only thing that differs concerns a few options in the AMD's Radeon Settings.
