With 2560x1440 resolution, 144Hz and Nvidia G-Sync

While 4K/UHD might be the next big thing in the world of PC monitors, ASUS reckons that there is still room on the market for nice 2560x1440 monitor as it has just unveiled its newest ASUS Republic of Gamers Swift PG278Q monitor which not only features a 27-inch 2560x1440 panel but also packs Nvidia's G-Sync with 144Hz refresh rate.

The ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q looks like a real gaming monitor and it is nothing short of what we have expected from a monitor with ASUS' Republic of Gamers badge. As noted, it features a 27-inch 2560x1440 resolution display backed by Nvidia's G-Sync 144Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a Turbo Key which allows you to set the refresh rate on-the-fly, switching from 60Hz to 120 and to 144Hz. It has a single DisplayPort 1.2 input, two USB 3.0 port hub, 350cd/m2 of brightness and 1ms GTG response time.

Of course, these specifications and ROG badge also come at a price so ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q monitor is expected to be available in late July with a price tag of US $799.
