ADATA has now officially launched three new SATA 6Gbps SSDs, the Premier Pro SP900, which will be available in both M.2 2242 and M.2 2282 form-factors, and the SP910, a standard 2.5-inch SATA SSD.
As noted, the Premier Pro SP900 will be available in both the M.2 2422 and the M.2 2280 form-factors and aimed at Ultrabooks as well as desktop PCs with M.2 slot while the Premier Pro SP910 is solely aimed at desktop PC market with gamers and video editors in mind.
Based on the LSI SF-2281 controller, both versions of the SP900 M.2 SSD will offer sequential read and write transfer speeds of up to 550MB/s and 530MB/s and will be available in 128, 256 and 512GB capacities. Both will also support Intel Smart Response Technology as well as DEVSLP (Device Sleep).
The 2.5-inch SATA Premier Pro SP910 SSD is on the other hand based on Marvell's 88SS9187 controller and will offer sequential read and write performance of up to 560 and 460MB/s while 4K random read and write performance will be at up to 91k and 77k IOPS. It features built-in ECC (Error Code Correction) technology (up to 128bits/2KB), S.M.A.R.T (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) and will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities.
Since it is based on a 7mm thick 2.5-inch form factor, the ADATA Premier Pro SP910 will be bundled with a 2.5-inch spacer and 3.5-inch converter, making it compatible with both 9.5mm 2.5-inch slots as well as standard 3.5-inch desktop bays.
Unfortunately, ADATA did not reveal any details regarding the price or the actual availability date.
