TrueCrypt has been declared as compromised

They say to switch to Bitlocker

TrueCrypt, a famous crypting tool which can crypt your hard drive or specific folders, has been declared as compromised. If you visit the official website of TrueCrypt program, it says: “WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure as it may contain unfixed security issues”, which is definitely not a good sign.
We don't know what kind of security issure they are talking about. Somebody took a guess saying that the entire website has been hacked, replacing the original .exe file with a trojan, but this can't be verified.

TrueCrypt team is advising their users to use Bitlocker, Windows integrated crypting system. We have a few doubts about this advice as well, since Microsoft has a partnership with the NSA, and there might be some hidden backdoors in the program as well.
