Corsair releases Force Series LX SSD

Entry-level SSD with Silicon Motion controller

Corsair has announced yet another addition to its line of solid state drives, the Force Series LX SSDs. The new Force Series LX SSDs will be based on a Silicon Motion SSD controller, available in 128GB and 256GB capacities and available at rather impressively budget-friendly price, offering SSD upgrade even to those on budget.

As noted, the new Force Series LX SSDs from Corsair will be based on Silicon Motion controller paired up with yet to be detailed MLC Toggle NAND flash and packed in a standard 7mm 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6Gbps interface. The Force Series LX SSDs will offer transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s for read and 300MB/s for write which is still faster than any standard HDD on the market, making Corsair's new Force Series LX SSDs perfect for those looking for a first SSD upgrade for their system.

The new Force Series LX SSDs also offer TRIM, NCQ and S.M.A.R.T. technologies and is also backed by a 3-year warranty. As noted earlier, the Corsair Force Series LX SSDs will be available in 128 and 256GB capacities with a price tag set at US $74.99 and US $129.99, respectively.
