Rig of the day - Opteron Prime

In the past few months, we have shared quite a few multi-CPUs configurations, based on EVGA, ASUS or Gigabyte motherboards and Intel processors. Today for the first time we share something unique and powerful, something complitely unexpected, based on four CPUs and a server motherboard and there is even a worklog: worklog

Let's start with the case that is not an ordinary housing but a 4U rack unit, modded inside and outside. Inside we find a Supermicro G34 motherboard with four powerful 6386SE CPUs. For the less experienced, these are 16 core CPUs with 16 threads on each CPU. In case of memory you find 16 sticks with 4GB and 1866MHz frequency, which accounts for a total of 64GB. But we guess what's going to be most appealing is the liquid cooling system with EKWB components. And we have to say it's simpyl ginormeous!
