Lian Li officially releases two desk/case hybrids

The DK-01X and the DK-02X

Although already announced that it will show its full lineup of desk chassis during Computex 2014, which kicks off on June 3rd, Lian Li has now officially announced the release of two of them, the single-system DK-01X and the dual-system DK-02X.

Both of the desk chassis are constructed from aluminum, painted in all black and should, according to Lian Li, allow DIYers to build a full computer inside a desk as well as show off their hardware beauties through tempered glass desktop.

Both desk chassis also feature a lockable sliding door which makes the installation as well as upgrades much easier and also feature adjustable/removable keyboard tray and side mounted pocket with headphone rack. Both the DK-01X and the DK-02X support up to HPTX motherboard form-factor while the DK-02X also has an option to install a secondary system with up to mini-ITX motherboard.

Both cases also support a wide choice of cooling options with support for 360mm radiators on the sides, removable brackets on the front (360mm one for the DK-01X and two 240mm ones for the DK-02X). Both cases also have plenty of room for storage devices with 10 individual HDD bays on the DK-01X and eight HDD bays for the smaller and nine for the larger system on the DK-02X.

Both chassis have a height of 805mm (31.7-inches) and can be raised up to 835mm (32.9-inches) for more leg room as well as offer room for three monitor mounts to be installed at the back. Both desk/case hybrids can also support up to 180mm tall CPU coolers, 280mm long PSUs and up to 410mm long graphics cards. Both cases also feature a front mounted I/O panel with four USB 3.0 ports and audio jacks on the DK-01X and two sets of these for both systems on the DK-02X. Front sliding drawer on both cases also has room for a slim optical drive or an SSD.

Both the DK-01X and the DK-02X are expected on retail/e-tail shelves in the US by the end of July with a suggested retail prices set US $989 and US $1189, respectively.
