As expected, Motorola has now officially unveiled its new Moto E smartphone, a budget 4.3-inch screen smartphone based on 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 chip and running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
According to Motorola, the new budget Moto E is build to last and it is designed around a 4.3-inch 960x540 screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3 layer. The Moto E is also resistant to water.
The heart of the new Moto E is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 200 chipset with a dual-core Cortex A7 based, 1.2GHz clocked, CPU part, Adreno 302 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot.
It also comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera but lacks the front one which will not go well with selfie lovers. It also comes witha 1980mAh battery and an FM radio. The dimensions are set at 124.8x64.8x12.3mm and it weighs 142g which puts it at pretty much the same size as the Moto G. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
Motorola has also unveiled the updated Moto G which will now be available with LTE and microSD card slot, which is certainly what the Moto G has been missing from the start.
The price of the Moto G at launch was set at US $199 while the Moto E will launch at US $129, making it the cheapest Android KitKat running smartphone on the market.
