Intel has now officially lifted the NDA veil off its new Intel Core Haswell Refresh socket LGA1150 CPUs which will, when compared to previously available Haswell CPUs, feature a speed-bump, same price and some other improvements.
The new Haswell Refresh CPUs will be compatible with existing Intel 8-series chipset motherboards with BIOS update as well as launched together with Intel's new 9-series chipset motherboards.
The lineup of Intel's Haswell Refresh CPUs starts with new "flagship" Core i7-4790, working at 3.6GHz with 4.0GHz Turbo Boost clock, 8MB of L3 cache and support for Intel Hyper-Threading. The Core i7-4790 will be priced at US $319.99 which puts it between the Core i7-4770 and the unlocked Core i7-4770K. The rest of the lineup includes, the Core i7-4790S, Core i5-4690, Core i5-4590, Core i5-4460, Core i5-4690S and the Core i5-4590S, all mostly representing a 100MHz bump from previously available Haswell CPUs.
The entire lineup as well as the the 9-series based motherboards have already been selling in some retail/e-tail shops while as of today, these should be widely available.
