The recently unveiled and announced Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X 8GB graphics cards has finally found its way to retail/e-tail shelves as it is currently listed in some of the local European shops for €729.90 inc. VAT.


Designed to be used with multi-display setups and UHD monitors, the Sapphire R9 290X Vapor-X features 8GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface and while 4GB might have been enough for single-monitor configurations, it certainly is not for multi-monitor ones. Although we are not sure how much benefit from double the amount of memory is there on the R9 290X graphics card, we are quite sure that there is at least some, especially with high resolutions.

The Sapphire R9 290X Vapor-X 8GB also has a slight factory-overclock with GPU working at 1060MHz and memory clocked at 5.6GHz.

Currently, the Sapphire R9 290X Vapor-X 8GB is listed over at Overclockers.co.uk for £599.99 (incl. VAT) while Caseking.de has it for €729.90 (inc. VAT).
