Cougar, which so far produced only PC cases and PSUs, has entered the peripherals market with two gaming mice, the 200M and the 700M.
The gaming mouse market is really crowded lately and everybody can find what they are looking for, even for very cheap prices. Sadly, a lot of producers tend to fill up their portfolio with a lot of different models, without any innovation.
The Cougar 200M, available in black and orange, is a simple gaming mouse. It measures 120x74x41mm and weighs 110g, with no further regulations. It features a sensor with 3 different levels of DPI, 800/1600/2000. It has been announced for 39$, which is a very reasonable price that makes it perfect for the first-time gamer who does nott want to empty his pockets to get a decent mouse.
The 700M is a whole different story as it is clearly inspired by the MadCatz R.A.T. mouse, since its length, width and weight can be regulated. It features eight programmable buttons and a built-in memory to save different profiles. This mouse is clearly aiming for a higher market, but sadly Cougar did not announce any price or availability date details for this model.
