Corsair AX1500i Digital PSU now available

To hit retail shelves in late May

Corsair has announced the availability of its newest Corsair AX1500i Digital ATX power supply which features advanced digitally-controller circuitry, over 80Plus Titanium rating with 94 percent efficiency and a rather steep price.

Currently only available at Corsair's own web shop, the Corsair AX1500i Digital uses Digital Signal Processors (DSP) to control power output results in tighter DC voltage output regulation and superior stability for components, according to Corsair. With 80Plus Titanium efficiency rating, the AX1500i Digital offers over 94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load (at 115V), uses 100 percent Japanese capacitors, has native USB support for Corsair Link and offers eight PCI-Express cables with ten PCI-Express connectors for graphics cards.

The Corsair AX1500i Digital is also slightly larger than your average PSU with dimensions set at 150x86x225mm. Due to greater efficiency, the AX1500i Digital also has reduced heat which allows the PSU to operate in fully silent Zero-RPM fan mode when loads do not exceed 450W. Even over 450W, the AX1500i Digital should be pretty silent due to its 140mm Dynamic Fluid Bearing fan.

Although it is now available directly from Corsair's web shop, the Corsair AX1500i should hit retail/e-tail shelves in late May. It is backed by a 7-year warranty and has a US $449.99 suggested retail price tag.
