As you already know, Nvidia's dual-GPU flagship Titan Z has missed its original 29th of April launch date due to cooler changes and according to the latest report from Computerbase.de, it appears that the delay will be just over a week long as the new GTX Titan Z should be on retail/e-tail shelves on May 8th.
Based on two fully enabled GK110 GPUs and packing a total of 5760 CUDA cores, 480 TMUs, 96 ROps and 12GB of memory (6GB per GPU) paired up with a dual 384-bit memory interface, the new Titan Z should end up working at 706MHz for the base GPU clock and 876MHz for the GPU Boost clocks while memory should remain at 7.0GHz.
The Nvidia GTX Titan Z needs two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors in order to work and its TDP is rated at 375W. While many compare the new GTX Titan Z to AMD's dual-GPU Radeon R9 295X2, these are still two way different graphics cards, both in terms of price as well as in terms of usage, as Titan Z will most likely excel at compute dependent applications.
