Nvidia GTX Titan Z hitting retail on April 29th

US $2999 plus VAT

We already knew almost everything about Nvidia's new dual-GPU Titan Z graphics card, including its high US $2999 price tag, but we did not know when it will actually hit retail/e-tail. According to the report from Techpowerup.com, the card should be on retail/e-tail shelves on April 29th.

Based on two 28nm GK110 GPUs, the Geforce GTX Titan Z graphics card packs 2880 CUDA cores, 240 TMUs and 48 ROPs per GPU and comes with a total of 12GB of memory (6GB per GPU) paired up with a dual 384-bit memory interface.

According to Techpowerup.com, the GTX Titan Z will retain the same US $2999 price tag announced back during GTC 2014, but the end-user price will depend on the actual country and region so it could be anywhere between 10 and 33 percent more expensive. For example, the Titan Z is expected to cost 400,000¥ (incl. taxes) in Japan, which converts to about $3,900.

While AMD had to go for AIO water cooler in order to keep the two Hawaii XT GPUs on the R9 295X2 well cooled, Nvidia managed to keep the GPUs cooled with a hefty air cooler.
