The new Catalyst 14.4 RC brings support for the R9 295X2 graphics card with a couple of CrossFire enhancements in several games as well as full OpenGL support and some AMD Mantle API tweaks.

Although it appears that it is made mostly for the Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card, the new Catalyst 14.4 RC driver supports the entire R9 200 series as well as all GPUs from the HD 5000 series.

As far as the release notes go, the listed fixes, enhancements and added support starts off with Crossfire enhancements and fixes which include game titles like Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Anno 2070, Titanfal and Metro: Last Light as well as fixes issues with Eyefinity 3x1 with 4K panel and stuttering issues which were seen with mid-Eyefinity resolution with V-Sync enabled. The Mantle API improvements feature two Battlefield 4 fixes, including the performance slowdown when performing task switch as well as fuzzy images when playing in rotated SLS resolution on A10 Kaveri APU system.

The new Catalyst 14.4 RC driver also brings full OpenGL 4.4 support with a full list of extensions.
