Intel starts selling and shipping Haswell Refresh CPUs

Should be available shortly

Without any big launch, Intel has finally started to sell and ship its latest Haswell Refresh lineup of CPUs. Although the official launch was previously rumored for next month and includes motherboards based on Intel 9-series LGA1150 chipsets we are quite sure those will show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon.

According to the list, a total of 44 new CPUs have been launched. The desktop lineup include 27 CPUs while the rest is for the mobile market. There is not much to talk about the new CPUs as these are still based on the same Haswell architecture but have a slightly higher frequency, by 100MHz in most cases and should retain the same price.

As far as the desktop side is concerned, the new flagship is the Core i7-4790, a quad-core CPU with Hyper-Threading, 8MB of L3 cache and 3.6GHz clock. The mobile market will get a couple of new high-performance quad-core CPUs ranging from 2.0GHz up to 2.5GHz with 6MB of L3 cache.

You can check out the full lists below and, as noted, the new Haswell Refresh CPUs should retain the the same price that previous Haswell CPUs held.
