MSI announces new ProBox23 barebone

Based on Intel H81 chipset

MSI has announced a new barebone design which should satisfy the companies or individuals looking for a system based on Intel's H81 Express chipset platform.

Not designed to participate or win in any overclocking contests, the ProBox23 features VESA mount and HDMI output.

The ProBox23 measures 202x204x54.8mm and weighs 1.15kg. The insides pack MSI's H81TI mini-ITX motherboard ready for Intel LGA1150 CPU with 65W or less TDP. The cooler for the CPU comes bundled with the barebone. The rear shows that there is no room for an expansion card as the motherboard does not feature any PCI-Express slots and it will rely on integrated graphics.

It also features an internal drive bay with support for up to two 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs. In terms of connectivity, the ProBox23 features ear HDMI output, eSATA output , two USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, two audio jacks and an Ethernet port. The WiFi is optional and might be a good way to go. The front includes four USB 2.0 ports as well as audio jacks placed next to the power button.

Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the availability date or the price.
